2019 CIRCUS FESTIVAL
Our second annual Circus Day is right around the corner on June 22. We launched Circus Day last year to mark the 100th anniversary of the great circus train wreck in Hammond, IN involving our own Hangenbeck-Wallace circus. The Ed Ballard owned circus wintered here from 1913 to 1929, even performing inside the West Baden Springs Hotel atrium.
This year we celebrate that rich circus history from 10 AM to 4 PM with fire breathers, acrobats, carnival games, costumed pet parade, a live circus band, the Hadi Shriners, and much more.
From Circus Day we move to Cirque Ma’Ceo July 25-27. It’s an action packed, equestrian based circus, performing under the big top here in French Lick. On the 27th events kick off with a VIP party at historic Beechwood Mansion, transportation to your VIP seats at the circus, and back to the mansion after the show. Contact us here at the museum for more information.
